Guidelines for Final Submission of Accepted Papers (Camera Ready)
Please carefully complete all the 5 steps listed below by July 6 2010 in order to have your accepted paper included in the programme and proceedings of ISWCS 2010. Papers will appear in the proceedings for both oral and poster presentations.
Paper Formatting
Authors must use one of the following author kits to format their paper (LaTeX is preferred). Papers not formatted using the correct template will not be published.
Please adhere to the following formatting rules.
- Do not number the pages
- Subtitles are not allowed
- The standard IEEE two-column format must be used
- The maximum paper length is 5 pages, no extensions are allowed
Posters are to be printed A0 (841mm x 1189mm) size in portrait.
Registration
Authors must register and pay for the conference before July 6, 2010. When registering you will be required to provide the TrackChair code(s) of your accepted paper(s).
E-Copyright
In order to publish your paper in the proceedings we require the completion and submission of a copyright form. The copyright form may be downloaded from http://www.ieee.org/documents/IEEECopyrightForm.pdf.
The completed form may be submitted in one of the following ways:
- Posted to:
Dr. Paul Mitchell Department of Electronics The University of York Heslington York YO10 5DD
- Faxed to: +44 1904 432335
- Emailed to: iswcs2010@elec.york.ac.uk
PDF Generation
Note: Please do not submit the final paper version via TrackChair
All submitted conference papers must adhere to the IEEE Xplore PDF specification. This may be checked by using IEEE PDF eXpress. This tool allows authors to convert their papers to IEEE Xplore-compatible PDFs (from LaTeX or Word formats), or to check author-created PDFs for compatibility with IEEE Xplore (It is suggested to use PDF eXpress to generate your PDF rather than checking an author-created PDF version).
Note: Authors have to upload their papers on PDF eXpress by using the ISWCS 2010 account (code "iswcs2010x") for PDF conversion or validation. PDF eXpress instructions may be found at the end of this page.

Instructions to process your paper with PDF eXpress
Please note that it is mandatory to follow the procedure described below when generating the PDF file for your paper. Failing to follow these instructions will result in your paper not being included in the program.
- Create your manuscript(s).
- Proofread and check the layout of your manuscript (preferably using LaTeX and the related author kit template).
- It is recommended to do this before uploading the paper to IEEE PDF eXpress.
- Access the IEEE PDF eXpress site:
- For First-time users: Click "New Users - Click Here". Enter
iswcs2010x
for the Conference ID, your e-mail address, and choose a password. Continue to enter information as prompted. You will receive online and email confirmation of successful account setup. - Returning users: Enter
iswcs2010x
for the Conference ID, e-mail address and password.
- For First-time users: Click "New Users - Click Here". Enter
- For each conference paper, click Create New Title.
- Enter identifying text for the paper (title is recommended but not required).
- Click Submit File for Checking or Converting.
- Some time may be required, but you will receive an email confirmation of successful upload.
- You will receive an email with your IEEE PDF eXpress-converted PDF or Checked PDF attached. The email will show if your file passed or failed.
- If the submitted PDF passed the PDF Check, and you are satisfied with your IEEE PDF eXpress-converted PDF, you may then submit the approved PDF paper to Causal Productions according to procedure step 5.
- If the PDF submitted fails the PDF check or you are not satisfied with the IEEE PDF eXpress-converted PDF: You can amend your file and upload again until the file is satisfactory (click Try again button). Contact the technical staff via the email listed on the website (pdfsupport@ieee.org) if submission problems persist.
Note that if the PDF check has failed, you will receive a report describing the exact problems encountered (important: external links and cross-references should not be used; Acrobat version should be greater than (or equal to) 5.0; all used fonts have to be embedded to the file).
IEEE PDF eXpress converts the following file types to PDF: Latex and Microsoft Word. For Latex source file PDF conversion, please submit the *.tex files and all support files (e.g., *.eps files) with the final manuscript in a folder. Put this folder in a compressed archive and submit the file to PDF eXpress for approval
The conference publication chair is Didier Le Ruyet, who may be contacted at didier.le_ruyet@cnam.fr.
