Submission Guidelines

The aim of this symposium is to provide a forum for researchers and technologists to present new ideas and contributions in the form of technical papers, panel discussions, as well as real-world evaluation in the field of wireless communications, networking and signal processing.

This 18th symposium will bring together various wireless communication systems developers to discuss the current status, technical challenges, standards, fundamental issues, and future services and applications.

Accepted and presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore as well as other Abstracting and Indexing databases.

Prospective authors are invited to submit high-quality original technical papers (max 6 pages, 10 point font size) for presentation at the conference and publication. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the ISWCS 2022 Proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore.

We reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (including its removal from IEEE Xplore) if the paper is not presented at the conference.

Papers are reviewed on the basis that they do not contain plagiarized material and have not been submitted to any other conference at the same time (double submission). These matters are taken very seriously and we will take action against any author who engages in either practice. Follow these links to learn more:

IEEE Policy on Plagiarism

IEEE Policy on Double Submission

To be published in the ISWCS 2022 proceedings and to be eligible for publication in IEEE Xplore, an author of an accepted paper is required to register for the conference at the full rate and the paper must be presented by an author of that paper at the conference. Exceptions may be granted by the General Chair prior to the event.

All papers should be submitted via EDAS, using standard IEEE conference templates. The page length for all submissions is six (6) printed pages in 10 point font and must be written in English. It is the authors' responsibility to ensure that the author list, the paper title and the abstract of the submitted pdf file is an exact match to the information entered on the EDAS registration page. Please be aware that the author list cannot be changed in the final manuscript.

Call for Special Sessions

Below is a brief version of the call and you can find the detailed Call for Special Sessions  here .

Special Session Proposal Submission Guidelines

The ISWCS 2022 organizing committee invites proposals for Special Sessions on emerging topics in wireless communications and networking. Each proposal needs to be at most three pages long (excluding organizers’ biographies) in single-column A4 or letter format, with a font size of 10 or greater, and cover the following information:

  • Session Title
  • Names and affiliations of Session organizers
  • Session abstract
  • Background and motivation
  • Metadata (including titles, author list, and abstract) for at least three committed papers
  • Related special sessions or workshops in previous conferences
  • Short biographies of the organizers, including research expertise and experience in organizing past special sessions or workshops

As mentioned above, each Special Session proposal is required to include information about at least three (but no more than six) confirmed papers invited by the organizers. We especially encourage invited submissions from a diverse set of authors, institutions, and geographical regions. The Sessions may further be expanded with selected papers from the main conference track as jointly decided by the organizers and the Technical Program Committee. Note that the organizers are allowed to contribute to at most two invited papers, and no author can appear in more than one paper (hence implying that in a single-organizer Session, the organizer can only contribute to a single invited paper). The review process of the invited papers will be handled by the Session organizers.

Each Special Session proposal will be evaluated based on the importance of the proposed topic, its relevance to the ISWCS audience, the quality and diversity of the invited papers, and the organizers’ experience and expertise.

The expected timeline for the Special Sessions is as follows (23:59:59 AoE on each date):

Special Session Proposal submission due : May 15, 2022

Special Session Proposal decision notification: May 31, 2022

Special Session (invited) paper submission deadline: July 30, 2022

Special Session (invited) paper decision notification: August 18, 2022

Final paper due : September 30, 2022 extended to October 07, 2022

Special Sessions at the conference: October 22, 2022

Submissions: Send to the Special Sessions Chairs (nnaderi@seas.upenn.edu and liuf6@sustech.edu.cn) with the subject: ISWCS 2022 Special Session Proposal.

Call for Tutorials

You can find the Call for Tutorials  here .

Submission Guidelines

ISWCS 2022 will feature both invited and selected tutorials on emerging topics of interest to the wireless communications society. We therefore solicit proposals for half-day tutorials (approximately 2h30min + 30min break). Proposals should not exceed four pages, and they should include the following information:

  • Title
  • Abstract (250 words)
  • Importance and timeliness
  • Description - material to be covered, depth, and schedule
  • Target audience - prerequisite knowledge of attendees
  • Presenter(s) biography, including information about previous tutorials and a list of recent papers related to the proposed topic
