Welcome to Valencia

In the last decade Valencia has grown more than any city in Europe, accounting for almost 3% of the growth in European urban tourism. The recent renaissance of the city has given it a place among the most popular tourist destinations.
It is a city of contrasts, where the visitor can find an excellent combination of history and culture together with progress and all that is avant-garde. Its unstoppable urban development has given the city an infrastructure that is ideal for cultural and sporting events, trade fairs and business activities. If to this we add its fantastic climate (over 300 sunny days per year and a mild average temperature of 18,9°C), its areas of natural beauty, its gastronomy and range of hotel accommodation, it is easy to see why the city has become such an attractive destination for those wishing to take a break and those seeking personal or professional development.
Valencia boasts an outstanding climate; exuberant in Spring, warm in Summer, comfortable and cosy in Autumn and Winter. Its countryside is clean, its people are friendly and the visitor is captivated by a different view of reality in which the past, present and future co-exist in perfect harmony. For 365 days a year it offers a range
of activities that is second to none: it truly is a city for all seasons.

32rd America's Cup

After overseeing a rigorous selection process, on the 26th November, 2003, AC Management revealed Valencia, Spain as the Host City of the 32nd America's Cup.
Valencia is located on Spain's Mediterranean coastline. Its excellent sailing conditions, the creation of a base exclusively for the event, its great marine tradition and the enormous organisational capacity of such a dynamic city have all contributed to the choice of Valencia as the perfect place to hold the first America's Cup ever to be held in Europe.

The Mediterranean coast's excellent weather is not Valencia's only asset. It is the capital of the Valencia Region and one of Europe's fastest growing cities. It is a historical, dynamic, modern and enterprising city where the America's Cup family, the Challenger's bases and the public and fans will enjoy the benefits of a special village created specifically for them.
